Why organic?
In developing Maddi Alexander, we wanted to ensure that we were true to ourselves, our products, our customers and our producers. We wanted to ensure that we developed as natural and pure a product as was possible.
By using only natural vegetable wax, we can ensure that there will be no black soot or fumes associated with synthetically produced candles. These often contain toxins or paraffin which are undesirable for both you and our environment.
Equally important, we use only cotton wicks which contain no lead which can be contained in other synthetic candles.
By rejecting any chemicals or conventional candle ingredients, you will experience only the pure essential oil aroma wherever and whenever you choose to burn a Maddi Alexander candle.
The 100% organic oils that we have sourced are from fully sustainable fair traded communities which are then hand poured in Yorkshire. The glass we use is not currently re-cycled - but we're working on it! But as we use no nasty chemicals and an easy peel-off label, you can wash it out and use as a drinking glass, so we don't feel too bad!
You'll have to wait a while to do this though as Maddi candles have up to 40 hour luxuriously indulgent burn time!
We've also taken great care in sourcing our packaging. We send our candles to you in boxes and paper fibres used for padding which are made from 100% recyclable material.
