Check out what's been going on in the world of Maddi Alexander here.

By February, the hopeful little glimpses of springtime make me dream of summer holidays. I want tropical weather and 99 ice creams and to be able to eat outside in the evenings with the sun on my face. The days are now getting longer and lighter and it is a blessed relief to get up in the morning without feeling like you’re being dragged out of bed in the dark, depths of night and it’s liberating not to have to close the curtains by four o’clock in the afternoon...

January can be bittersweet. As much as I adore Christmas, there comes a point when the indulgence becomes too much. After eating my bodyweight in turkey, six thousand Mint Matchmakers and the equivalent of about three entire wheels of brie, the familiar post-Christmas craving for normality (and some fruit) kicks in. But although it is a wonderful feeling to move forward, there is always just a hint of sadness as I take down the Christmas tree, box up the baubles and fairy lights and send them up to resume their usual home in the attic for the next eleven months...

The next installment of the Maddi Alexander blog is here, read how Christmas is shaping up for Maddi, things are not running as smoothly as you might expect!
